It’s Christmas time and the joy of giving is in the air. People bustle hurriedly all around trying to finish getting all those special gifts, foods, decorations and all the things ready that make Christmas feel good to them. Each person and each family is as different as each culture.
As diverse as this one “holy day” is – the ways in which it is celebrated is equally as varied. This gave me many ideas on marketing niches. Christmas has many themes and many ways to present those themes to enhance the celebration. All of these themes involve products and different styles in using those products.

Christmas is the ultimate niche in marketing. So to enhance the idea for this niche I created a niche blog that will grow through the next year in preparation for the Christmas celebration in 2010. Along the way, I will use this blog to explore the Christmas niche and learn how to use the theme to its maximum potential. This should be an exciting project. Will you join me as I build Christmas is Coming Soon?
I have some ideas that I started with when I created the blog a few months ago, but I got too busy to develop it in time for this year. The main theme of the blog is wrapped around the idea that Christmas is always coming. In fact, it is just around the corner since time flies so rapidly. The key to this theme is making plans and preparations. Get a head start on planning  for the holiday celebration. This part of Christmas planning is very involved depending on how many dinners you plan, how many gifts you intend to buy, how much baking or decorating you have planned and whether or not you will travel or host a big family get together. This brings to mind dozens of niche ideas for this blog and opens a wide range of topics for posts to write, photos to include, resources to list and tons of fun stuff for the Christmas is Coming blog.
Another aspect to my Christmas niche blog is the fund raising theme. I’m developing a "Letters to Santa” project to raise money for the needy and for people with serious illnesses or disabilities. This will be used as a partner site for Angels for Gabriel, which is a part of our ministry.

The last project we conducted involved raising money for three year old Gabriel’s funeral. Gabriel Jaden Coates drowned on Memorial Day and his father did not have any money to pay for funeral or burial expenses. It was a deep, moving experience that affected me personally and will remain embedded on my heart for the rest of my life. Please visit our sister site at Angels for Gabriel and feel free to support our cause as we continue to be volunteer angels for those in need of the services our ministry provides.
Marketing and advertising will play an important role in the development of our Christmas angels projects. We’ll discuss our experiences with advertising methods and marketing techniques as we experiment with them. This will be a learning experience in niche marketing and niche blogging all the way around. Join us for another great adventure.
